The Construction of Student Dormitories Větrník-North and Větrník-South. Contribution to the History of Charles University Dormitories and Canteens in the 1960s

Summary/Abstract: This article first outlines the sources and existing literature on the history of student dormitories and canteens and then provides and general overview of the Prague dormitories of the Charles University in the 1960s and the first half of the 1970s. It describes the situation in student housing and structure of the administration of student residences. The issue of university canteens is also touched upon. The main part of the study is dedicated to the construction of university dormitories Větrník-North and Větrník-South from 1963 until 1967.
