Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the corrections made by Kumičić himself in readying the manuscript of his story for a new edition. The corrections witness to his attention to language matters. This fact should be a guideline for future publishers not to take lightly a writer's attitude to the facts of language and spelling.
