Summary/Abstract: The quality of mediation is a key factor in its application and development. It is in the spotlight of the European Union and the Member States. The aim of the article is to find out what mechanisms ensure the quality of mediation according to the Act on Mediation in the Czech Republic and how the legal requirement of supervision over the performance of the activity of a registered mediator is fulfilled. The theoretical basis for the analysis is Moffitt‘s quality assurance mechanisms.
