Summary/Abstract: The authoress examines the activity of the eminent Slavicist and first Polish diplomat Dr T.St. Grabowski, in Bulgaria for almost nine years. In its entirety it was directed to building up longterm relations between the Polish and Bulgarian peoples. To this was subjected the bulk of the scientific and publicist activity of Dr Grabowski. He acquainted the Bulgarian society with outstanding representatives of the Polish people and at the same time drew a parallel of a kind with prominent Bulgarian personalities. Perfectly familiar with Bulgarian history and culture and keeping close contacts with the Bulgarian political and cultural elite, Dr Grabowski dedicated many pages to the social, political and cultural life in Bulgaria.
