Note on a prehistoric weapon fragment discovered at Urlați (Prahova County)

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents information about a fragment of a prehistoric weapon made of bronze, discovered at Urlaţi (Prahova County), the context of this discovery and the main characteristics of the object (shape, dimensions, raw material). The artefact was analysed within the context of similar objects discovered in Romania and the rarity of this type of weapon in the Lower Danube is emphasized. The paper is intended to be a contribution regarding this type of artefact, and additionally to the archaeological recording of the area.
