Summary/Abstract: The Holy Gospel read today at the Divine Liturgy has many and profound meanings for man today. We must first understand that demonizations are an objective reality and not a product of human imagination. Common in Antiquity, they are also found in the Old Testament period, not a few being the scriptural texts that record them. As believers, we must not fear the power of the devil, for he can have dominion over us only as far as we can.
