Summary/Abstract: Paraliturgical texts stand within the Czech Church Slavonic literature as a specific and amply represented literary genre. Some of the records have already been explored in detail (the hymn Hospodine, pomiluj ny – Lord Have Mercy on Us, Prayer Against the Devil, Prayer to the Holy Trinity). In this contribution the author points out new facts concerning eight prayers from the so-called Molitvennik Jaroslavskij (Jaroslavl Prayer Book). With a high degree of probability, we can confirm the Czech origin of the Church Slavonic texts of St Gregory’s Prayer and The Prayer of the Confession of Sins, both coming most likely from the 11th century. This conclusion is supported by comparison with newly detected Latin models for these prayers and by several cases of significant lexical and textual correspondence between the prayers and other records of Czech origin.
