Summary/Abstract: The article is an overview of the information about manuscripts written on Mount Athos and found in the library of the Sinai monastery “St. Catherine”. Issues about the formation of the Sinai collection, the characteristic features of the books probably created in the monastery and the intensity of contacts with other centers are discussed.
