STATUS AND CARE OF OLD SLAVIC MANUSCRIPTS AS PART OF THE CULTURAL HERITAGE IN THE ERA OF DIGITALIZATION

Summary/Abstract: Philology is an important branch of the whole science, especially when it comes to the development of a language that is the cultural code of a nation. In the science of the Macedonian language, as a part of the philology that studies the Macedonian language, digital resources are used to a very small extent, and in some areas of Macedonian language even the digitalization and utilization of global electronic resources has not even started at all. The aim of this paper is to elaborate and present the influence of the new technical and technological resources in the science of language and philology in general, using a set of methodological approaches, among which: elaboration, systematization and deduction. We will pay special attention to the problem faced by the national wealth of Macedonia, due to the too slow digitization of the old Macedonian manuscripts that have not only financial value but also national and spiritual value.
