Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to analyse the influence of unemployed persons features on the time spent on finding the place of employment. This influence can change in time. The analysis is possible using Cox non-proportional hazards model. In this model it is implied that the influence of explanatory variable on hazard depends on time, so hazard`s ratios change in time. We get the marks of parameters which are constant in time by using proportional hazards model. Hazards ratio for two units with different value of analyzed feature is going to be averaged for the whole researched period. Preliminary research points that the quotients are not always the same for unemployed persons with different time of looking for a place of employment. The results allowed to state if the influence of gender, age and education on chances to find a place of employment changed in time. In this article the hazard models for function g defined in various ways are estimated (continuous and discontinuous functions). Data of persons registered in the Local Labour Office in Szczecin in 2010 are used in an empiric example. The chances of taking up the job are assessed against other causes of registering out.
