Summary/Abstract: Transgenderism is one of the most challenging issues in medicine. The health care sector should offer specialized health care tailored to the needs of patients, taking into account their sexual orientation. Nurses play an essential role in the care of transgender people. Nurses should be prepared to provide care with regard to correct ethical behaviour and respect for sexual diversity. Kidney transplantation in the transgender population is a multidisciplinary topic whose incidence is increasing due to advances in kidney transplantation and greater access to care and gender affirmation. This study aims to formulate nursing care plans for a transgender patient after kidney transplantation, taking into account the nursing classification of care North American Nurses Diagnosis (NANDA). An individual case was analyzed in this study. The medical and nursing records of a 20-year-old transgender patient after kidney transplantation were analyzed. Results and conclusions based on the analysis of medical records, and nursing care plans for a patient with gender dysphoria were formulated. Patient care also considers the specificity of patient care after kidney transplantation. Caring for a transgender patient requires a multidisciplinary team and knowledge.
