„We and You” – A Transgenerational Message of Patriotic Journalism in the Historical Generation of Helena Radlińska

Summary/Abstract: The article is a result of research undertaken during the historical knowledge workshop, in line with the tradition of pedagogical and social research initiated by Helena Radlińska – the creator of Polish social pedagogy. The exploration of sources and documents was carried out on the basis of the socio-pedagogical method of historical analysis developed by Radlińska during her studies at the Jagiellonian University under the supervision of prof. Stanislaw Krzyzanowski in the field of social history (Radlińska 1964: 349–350). The text fits into the publishing project entitled “Helena Radlińska and her historical generation”. It highlights the practical dimension of the “historical generation” issue, which is also one of the main categories of Polish social pedagogy, as well as one of its sources. It refers in particular to the transgenerational message of Helena Radlińska’s patriotic journalism created during the active struggle for the independence of Poland during the Great War of 1914–1918.
