THE USAGE OF THE MECHANISMS AND CONTROL TOOLS IN THE OPERATIONS OF SECURITY SECTOR ORGANIZATIONS

Summary/Abstract: This text is devoted to the usage of control mechanisms and tools in the activities of a security sector organization. The aim is to identify the main applicable impact instruments. In the first part, the author focuses on the analysis of the concept of the security sector and the definition of its boundaries. The considerations concern the affiliation of individual public and non-public entities to this sector. The following section is devoted to the concept of good governance, relating it to the activities of security sector organizations. In this context, the ideas of security sector reform and control measures of influence applied by organizations, including management control, were also discussed. Then, the author focuses his attention on the analysis of control tools used by the organizations of the sector in question. That made it possible to identify the main instruments of influence in the security sector.
