Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the patronage of Helena Radlińska over the Pedagogical Library in Szczecin and its contribution to connecting different generations. The origins of the library go back to 1946, but it was not until its 30th jubilee celebrations in 1976 that the library in Szczecin was named after Helena Radlińska. The godmother of the library was a student and associate of Radlińska, Irena Lepalczyk, a professor at the University of Łodz, who participated in subsequent events organized by the library to honour its patron. The article discusses the genesis of the library, the preparations for the ceremony of naming it after H. Radlińska, the course of the ceremony, the telegrams and letters received on the occasion, as well as the response of the local press to the event. The text also refers to the subsequent events: the 40th and 50th anniversary of the Pedagogical Library in Szczecin and the meetings held on the anniversaries of the birth and death of its patron, constituting a link between generations. It also contains references to the permanent exhibition devoted to Helena Radlińska.
