The System of Command and Control of the Polish Armed Forces – Political and Legal Aspects

Summary/Abstract: The article aims to explain the essence of transformations in the system of Command and Control of the Polish Armed Forces in recent years. The study was presented by using research methods specific to security studies such as synthesis, retrospective analysis, comparative analysis, as well as a literature review. It was confirmed that frequent changes in the command and control system have a negative impact on the quality of the functioning of this system on the Polish Armed Forces example. The author's analysis shows that the armed forces play a special role in the political system, and their shape is largely determined by the preferences of political actors exercising state power. Addressing this issue through the prism of legal and political aspects allows to understand the essence of the army command and control system and its transformations in recent years.
