Summary/Abstract: The main merit of the work entitled “Mihail Eminescu şi adevărul Sfintei Scripturi”/ “Mihail Eminescu and the truth of the Holy Bible” and the guarantee of success are ensured by the considerable volume of archival documents – most of them unpublished – which were the basis of the scientific endeavor. Then, it is necessary to highlight a certain specificity of the work determined by the particularities of the canonical approach of Eminescu’s message, disseminated especially dur ing the last almost three decades, since the rise of knowledge through reception is associated with the catalytic rooting and assimilation of the work in national literatures. By recognizing and consecrating it as a uni versal value, becoming implicitly a Romanian component of the world cultural heritage. The fundamental merit of engineer Mihail-Nicolae Stanca is to give us a unique work, in which he identifies, processes and thoroughly evaluates in a modern vision the Eminescu sources and to offer us the statistical statement – “science of past events”- according to Leonardo da Vinci’s precept: “Any truth is true only if it is proved, mathematically” together with certain historical-literary and sociological explanations. The meticulousness, the erudition, the intellectual pleasure of “browsing” the internet, but also of going directly to sources (diction aries, translation volumes, monographs, projects, presentations, public actions, etc.) are noteworthy. The engineer-researcher does not hide his joy when he finds superlative appreciations, commenting with enthusi asm and exaltation (it is a way to defy detractors) and thus overcoming the aridity of the numerological exposition. An Eminescu rises before our eyes, whose universal value is absolutely indisputable, comparable to that of all the representative poets of the world.
