Performance of public tasks concerning the protection and promotion of reproductive health – selected remarks

Summary/Abstract: The object of research in this study has been the performance of public tasks concerning the protection and promotion of reproductive health, which are provided for in the Act of 2015 on Infertility Treatment, and selected problems emerging in this context. The aim was to determine the bodies performing these tasks, the catalogue and nature of these tasks, as well as the appropriate forms of action of the bodies concerning the protection and promotion of reproductive health, and to indicate some of the identified problems of their performance. The most important conclusion is that the legal solutions adopted in the Act on Infertility Treatment have an impact on ensuring health security in the field of reproductive health, the achievement of which becomes questionable if the current legal provisions are not applied for various reasons – political, financial, or organizational.
