Summary/Abstract: In the modern world of globalization, the Internet and liberalization, as well as the complex conditions of development of Bosnian society, especially culture, insufficient attention is given to contemporary literature. In this context, the issue of contemporary children's literature is even more complex. Since it has existed as an independent formation, it has always been on the sidelines and marginalized in relation to "adult literature". The paper is dedicated to the importance and place of children's literature by Ferida Duraković. After the picture book from 1989, Another Fairy Tale About A Rose, Ferida Duraković writes more and more for children and publishes Miki's Alphabet (1994), Amila's Alphabet (1999), Aesop's Fables (2007), Wind's Friend (2009) ... Although Duraković was situated during the last century as a contemporary poet in the canon of Bosnian literature, the elements that shaped the literary-historical narrative of her overall work are insufficiently researched in literary historiography. Her poetry writes individual traumas, experiences and emotions, and her expression is dense and metaphorical. On the other hand, literature for Duraković's children is simpler in expression, tends to humor and play. In addition to sporadic studies of Ferida Duraković's poetry, her work for children until today has not been the subject of research. What is the status of the author's literary works for children in relation to her work for adults and how much Duraković is recognized as a children's writer, are questions that wants to be answered in the paper.
