Summary/Abstract: „Lifelong learning – a new challenge for universities?” – this was the title of a meeting focused on the concept of lifelong learning, which has gathered the representatives of Polish universities. This jubilee, 20th conference was organized on 22nd May 2013, at the Warsaw School of Economics, by the Foundation for the Promotion and Accreditation of Economic Education in cooperation with the founders of the Foundation – the Warsaw School of Economics and the Universities of Economics from Cracow, Katowice, Poznan, Wroclaw. The article is a report from the conference. Among the topics discussed during the conference there were the idea of universities transformation into an institutions realizing the LLL strategy as well as an analysis of market requirements and a characteristic of an e-learner. The speakers tried to answer the question “Why is the e-learner important in the strategy of a university development”? An interesting issue mentioned in the speeches was also the idea of certifying education effects achieved in non-formal education. The participants had a chance to discuss good practice of implementation a coherent life long concept at a university.
