Summary/Abstract: In the present study we highlight the fact that religious music, especially Byzantine music, is not only art, science and service; it has not only history and tradition, but, beyond all, it has transfiguring elements; it is for the soul, that is, it is inviting. It circulated both in Wallachia and Transylvania, as well as in Banat, and we find it in various churches, monasteries and organized schools, being the spiritual bond that held Romanians together in all three renowned regions. For the unity of faith and nation, choral singing and church music was truly a bridge of connection and a “soulful” foundation that characterized the Romanians of the three great Regions everywhere.
