Summary/Abstract: Situated at the intersection of three musical cultures, on the one hand the monodic one of Byzantine tradition, on the other hand the one of Slavic influence and, last but not least, the western one, the liturgical song from Maramureş developed under the tutelage of a specific imprint, from which the psaltic song of Byzantine origin transpires.
