Summary/Abstract: Stanislaus Augustus’ coronation took place on 25 November 1764. He was the second Polish monarch following Stanislaus Leszczyński to be crowned in Warsaw. Feasts were an important element of the ceremony. The one on November 25 was attended by senators and top state officials, and the one on November 26, the day of homage paid by cities, gathered in the castle officials, members of their families, officers as well as foreign deputies and residents. The public could learn about the course of the ceremonies from special commemorative publications. Detailed accounts of the dinners came out in the Dyaryusz Seymu Coronationis. However, these texts left out the culinary aspects and the spectacular sugar decorations on the tables. Such descriptions were provided in an account written by the envoy of Naples to the Dresden court, Francesco Tuttavilla di Calabritto and sent to Minister Bernard Tanucci. The account is now preserved in the State Archives in Naples.
