Summary/Abstract: A number of 11 Republican Roman denars were discovered during the archaeological excavations carried out in the southern quarter of the city of Tropaeum Traiani (Adamclisi, Constanța county). The twelfth coin represents a chance find from the village of Adamclisi, on its south-eastern edge, not far from the hill and the road connecting it to the town of Zorile (Adamclisi commune, Constanța county). All these coins are single finds, and those found during 2005-2017, during archaeological excavations, come from secondary positions, in contexts much later than the issuing period (the 4th-6th c. AD). The issuers are C. FONT (1); L. RVBRI DOSSENI (1); CN. LEN Q.; LENT. CVR. DEN. FL. (1); C. HOSIDI C.F. GETA III VIR (1); ANT. AVG. IIIVIR R.P.C. (8). The coins date from 114-113 BC and 32-31 BC.
