Summary/Abstract: The presented paper reflects the results of a research survey focused on intensive therapy supporting the management of normal daily activities in individuals with cerebral palsy (according to ICD-10; F70 - mild mental retardation; G80.2 - spastic diplegic cerebral palsy). One proband, which corresponded to the relevant features, took part in the research / intensive therapy. The relevant features included the age of the proband, namely 7.0-7.12 years and a combination of mental and somatic disabilities. We used a qualitative research survey with the application of the single-case research design method. This method enabled us to monitor the development of probands in the monitored time for a long time and using a standardized FIM test (from the English Functional Assessment Measure) and the effect of our chosen intensive therapy. From the regular testing ofprobans, we formulated conclusions and recommendations for practice with regard to helping professions with a focus on special educators, occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
