Summary/Abstract: The article presents the contemporary tendencies in the assessment of candidates and employees through the method of Assessment Center, which is not very well-known in Bulgaria. The article details the preparation, the training and the implementation of the method and its elements in the organization. Examples of other assessment methods, which are used in recruitment and development, are also presented. Examples of successfully implemented Assessment and Development Centers and the way the results are connected to individual feedback, training and career development, talent management etc., are provided, too. Examples of implemented Assessment Centers within the organization are discussed. The key role of experts and consultants in organizational psychology and human resources management for the professional preparation, training, communication and implementation of the method is exemplified.
