Artistic texts about writing for children and youth

Summary/Abstract: Referring to the current crisis which concerns the reader, the unfavourable results of the Slovak pupils in international PIRLS and PISA surveys, and the research results on reading literacy in Slovakia, the aim of the article is to present a collection of such artistic texts for children and youth that thematise the text production process. We believe that such collection of artistic texts that thematise the process of writing is a supporting didactic means for developing communication through writing in primary education with a potential to contribute to the formation of positive attitude to written production of texts in pupils. The article analyses the selection of four artistic literary texts for children and youth, which, in various ways, literally thematise the process of writing.
