Summary/Abstract: This publication examines the process of formation of handprints and analyzes the common and individualizing features in dactyloscopic prints as a basis for the identification process. It emphasizes the potentiality of using poroscopic and edgeoscopic features as the “third level detail” in dactyloscopy.
