Summary/Abstract: In my response to Joanna’s Rutkowiak article, I aim at reinterpreting her initial analysis of the massification and instrumentalization of education in reference to my own experien-ces as a teacher in a private high school. I refer also to the discussions between Bourdieu, Rancière and Dubet on the matter. Finally, I reach for an Arendtian understanding of this issue as a matter of educational intergenerational dialogue.
