Summary/Abstract: The present work proposes an incursion into the beginnings of choral processing of Orthodox music from Banat (a western region of Romania). Relatively new, this musical genre entered the Orthodox churches of Banat only in the last one hundred and fifty years. A great role was played by the composer Ion Vidu, the one to whom the success of this implementation in a par excellence homophonic environment is linked.
