Summary/Abstract: The political regime of king Carol II, in which patriarch Miron Cristea was the prime minister, represented a new paradigm of the relationship between the State and the Romanian Orthodox Church. Desiring popular support, the king and patriarch involved the Orthodox clergy in political propaganda activities. This article analyses how priests, who had been active in the Iron Guard, related to the new political regime.
