Summary/Abstract: The article examines lexical units derived from neological roots, especially those that form whole families of words. Following their analysis, it is demonstrated that most of these vocabulary elements require to be interpreted, from an etymological point of view, as derived words within the Romanian language, regardless of whether or not they are based on foreign derivative models.
