«Hello, niemowlę» — on the language of emigrants in the works of Michał Choromański

Summary/Abstract: The paper is on presenting the most interesting language phenomena, occurring in the spoken language of Polish emigrants — the heroes of Michał Choromański’s. As the research material we chose several after-war novels of the author, describing the fate of Polish emigrants abroad, among others in South America. Mainly the dialogues were subjected to analysis. The dialogues directly present the manner of speaking of emigrants, full of English, French and Spanish influences. Due to the fact that the description concerns a piece of literature the paper mentions the issues of lingual stylization.
