Summary/Abstract: The professional training of secondary education teachers is the center of the overall reform which was implemented in France in September 2021. The Superior Schools of Higher Education have to offer the in-service trainees a brand new curriculum to meet with the profession evolutions, the students’ academic needs and the Council of Europe’s recommendations. In this article, we wander about the benefits of teaching English to the future professors of French during their initial training session.
