Summary/Abstract: This paper provides an analysis of the broadband internet infrastructure development in Poland. Broadband infrastructure supports economic development, ensures improvement of citizens’ qualify of life and is an essential component in creating information society and knowledge-based economy. The author covers legal, regulatory and technological aspects of the Polish broadband infrastructure. The article first discusses the condition of the market of broadband internet access. Next, the author focuses on the condition of the infrastructure and prospects for its development.
