AN EVALUATION ABOUT IMPLEMENTATION WHICH IS AT THE CENTRE OF GROOM AMONG THE WEDDING CUSTOMS: AN EXAMPLE OF BANDIRMA

Summary/Abstract: There are three important transition periods of people life. These are birth, marriage and death. Each of them are separated subcategories and steps in own constitution. This study, on the other hand, aimed to deal with groom-centered traditions in Turkish marriage culture, and focused on groom-centered practices in Bandırma, Balıkesir. Within the framework of the studies on marriage and the interviews made in Bandırma, it identifies the practices and practices they developed against the groom in the rituals and practices that took place before and after the wedding. Getting married merges women and men for starting a family under the law. Coming together of two genders (men and women) legalised within social,economic,religious and ethnic assents rituals which belong to the society that have been living. Getting married of women and men become more of an issue in the context of statue and role. In the research has been used analysis of document, compilation method in the Purview. According to research result groom plays a role as active or passive in the application regionally show an alteration Mostly turkish culture which has patriarchal thoughts usually makes groom based in weddings.
