Summary/Abstract: Each state contains certain geographical advantages and disadvantages that placeit in a position of strength or exposure in relation to the states in its proximity. BothRomania and Poland throughout history had borders made up of natural elementsthat gave an advantage to the state on the defensive, but the eastern border wasconstantly exposed to incursions and represented a weak point that different peoplesused in their advantage, and this had a profound impact on the perception of thepopulation of the two states.
