Summary/Abstract: The paper reviews the results of research into new totalitarism that is represented as the „new normality” in current ideological and theoretical discussions. The author re-evaluates strategies for combating Covid-19 pandemic during 2020—2021. He highlights the new strategy of totalitarism and critical re-evaluation of the „new strategy of salvation. This new strategy has been offered as the mean for overcoming global crisis and pandemic under different titles: „the great reset”,„the great narrative”, „the new normality”, „the new rules”, „transhumanism”, „the forth industrial revolution”, „digital economy”, „the green agenda”, „decarbonization”, „substituting dirty sorces of energy with the clean ones”, and numerous other new ideas and concepts. lt is not unreasonable to conclude that behind these mechanizams of crisis management one can in fact find the interests of the ruling business and financial elites to maintain its wealth and power. The West approached the structural changes from two directions. On one hand Western powers aim at establishing rule over whole world. On the other hand the Western society is restructuring itself from the inside and verticaly establishes super-national power at the top of pyramid. ln this transformation the essence of the European civilization and it’s basic values are being annulled. ln its conclusion, the paper proposes that behind the proposed strategies for combating pandemic Covid hides the rise of new totalitarism and restrictions of freedom and basic human rights.
