Summary/Abstract: In today's organizational behavior literature, it is seen that one of the most important concepts describing the relationship between the employee and the employer is the psychological contract. In this context, the purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating role of self-efficacy in the effect of psychological contract on work engagement. The data to be used for this study were obtained from 150 finance sector employees by survey method. In the study, convenience sampling method was used to determine the participants. 59.3% of the participants are women and 40.7% are men. In addition, the average age of the participants was determined as 39. Survey data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 statistics and AMOS 24 package programs. According to the results, psychological contract has a statistically positive and significant relationship with both work engagement and selfefficay; while self-efficacy shows a positive correlation with job engagement and it has also a mediator role in the positive impact of psychological contract on job engagement. In the literature, there is no study examining the mediating role of self-efficacy on the effect of psychological contract on work engagement. In this context, it can be said that this study is original and contributes to the related field.
