Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of validation of an exemplary 3D structure model created in the Femap software with the use of experimental data collected during mechanical vibration tests on a laboratory stand. The conducted tests were aimed at examining the possibility of creating a numerical model of a 3D structure in the Femap software, reflecting the behaviour of a 3D model subjected to mechanical vibrations, and then using it to predict the results of subsequent tests carried out on modified structures. The vibrations of the 3D structure during excitation with the test signal were recorded with a high-speed camera and then analyzed with the image analysis software MOVIAS Neo. The values of displacements at the measurement points of the examined structure were used to validate the numerical simulation model. Using the definition of material and physical parameters, it was possible to create a numerical model, which was then tested, and the obtained results were compared with the experimental data. This confirmed that the numerical model created in the Femap software could be used to predict vibrations of 3D structures using the finite element method.
