Summary/Abstract: The insurers measures are defined as those measures that are taken during the course of the criminal process by the criminal prosecution body or the court and which consist in the unavailability, through the establishment of a seizure, of movable and immovable assets, as well as in the seizure of sums of money owed for any reason to the accused, the defendant or the civilly responsible party by another person or by the injured party, in order to repair the damage caused by the crime, as well as to guarantee the execution of the penalty of the fine or the penalty of confiscation. The taking of precautionary measures is optional, except in the case where the injured person is a person lacking exercise capacity or with restricted exercise capacity when the application of precautionary measures is mandatory.
