Summary/Abstract: Accessibility to knowledge transmission in academic environment are gradually changed because of increasing impact of information technologies. Although faculties are often source of new ideas, they are in the first place traditional environment founded to accept knowledge transmission in traditional way. Dealing with new generations of students who use new technologies everyday, it's important to explore the possibilities of new aspects of teaching and new technologies in learning. Investigating how students use new technologies and how they have got perception of traditional way of providing information as library usage and its services, gives us some of the answers how is the best way of knowledge access to transmission of new knowledge. This investigation would like to contribute in the field of students' getting into a habit of information sciences and way how social software can offer changes in traditional methods of communication and transfer of knowledge. Investigation from January 2010, at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zagreb testing 107 students of graduate studies. Practice and frequency of usage of different tools and Web 2.0 service as social nets, IM/chat service, social marking, RSS, blogs, wiki and so on. With usage of new tools and services, frequency and reasons of traditional library services usage are tested like as students' perception of library role in social nets as it's Facebook .
