Summary/Abstract: The paper is dealing with a sixteenth century book from the Brukenthal Museum Library, to be more precise, ‘De consolatione philosophiae’ by the Roman senator, consul, magister officiorum, and philosopher of the early sixth century, Boethius. The book was published in ‘Argentina’ – in other words, the town which was known in Ancient time as Argentorate, and nowadys as Strasbourg –, in 1501, September 8th by the German humanist and satirist Sebastian Brant, and printed in Johannes Grüninger’s officina. The work has been translated into Romanian in 1992, under the title ‘Mângâierile filosofiei’, as well as in 2011, this time as ‘Consolarea Filosofiei’.
