Summary/Abstract: According to Tudor Diksov’s colophon in 906 Constantine of Preslav translated “knigы blagochestnыya narichemыya afanas” – a collection of Аthanasius of Alexandria’s three Orationes against the Arians, his Epistle to the Bishops of Egypt and Libya, and Homily for Passover Celebration (Poslanie o prazdnitse pashы). The latter was not related to Arian issues. The Homily was a part of the Old Bulgarian translation of “Athanasius letters”, which has not survived our times as it was preserved in all ten Russian manuscripts from the 15th to 18th centuries that have been known today. The Slavonic title attributes The Homily to St. Athanasius of Alexandria (togozhde svetaego afanasa aleksandryskaego episkupa), but scientific research has proved that it is pseudo-Athanasius. The article discusses specific lexical, morphosyntactic and stylistic markers from the text of Poslanie o prazdnitse pashы / Homily for Passover Celebration, typical of other translations by Constantine, which come to support the argument that he is the person who has translated that composition too.
