Summary/Abstract: This paper offers a description of the adnominal possessive in the dialect of the small German-language community in Nagybörzsöny in Hungary. Nowadays, in the German-speaking world, the possessive genitive can only be found in the furthest northern and southern regions. However, the dialect in question has preserved the genitive construction until today. In addition to the adnominal possessive genitive in attributive usage, the paper also describes in detail the predicative usage, both with regard to form and semantics. Finally, the paper also presents other forms of adnominal possessive in the analyzed dialect, e.g. the adnominal possessive ›dative case‹ (and two of its other variants).
