Summary/Abstract: Facebook student groups become more and more popular among university students. Students use them for both curricular, extracurricular and leisure activities. Our research aims to explore the dimensions of student motivation expressed both implicitly and explicitly on the wall of Facebook student groups. Through web content analysis we explore five different Facebook student groups in order to outline the main themes and tools related to social network motivational practices. Furthermore, we propose an integrated paradigmatic model for increasing students’ online motivation.
