Summary/Abstract: Report on the 12th annual RELIK 2019 - Reproduction of Human Capital: Mutual Links and Connections international scientific conference which took place on 7 and 8 November 2019 at the University of Economics in Prague. A number of conference contributions confirmed that the demographic ageing of the population presents a challenge for society and, especially, for social security systems, which must be addressed responsibly by political representatives in order for the current high level of social security to be sustainable over the long term.
