Summary/Abstract: Employers are calling for a change in the course of EU social policy so as to ensure that the social dimension of the EU develops in synergy with increasing economic growth and competitiveness and fully exploits the potential of future work. The European social rights pillar must act as a compass for social convergence and not as an excuse for further regulation. Binding measures on gender equality must not work so as to bind the hands of companies. In particular, measures should be supported that respond to changes related to the digital transformation, particularly in the areas of skills and education.
