Summary/Abstract: Numerous stecak necropolises in Tuzla Canton and beyond are neglected, and in the worst case, damaged and devastated. These are significant localities from the period of the medieval Bosnian state that bear witness to the population, tradition and sepulchral customs of the people who inhabited it. One of the necropolises from this area, which has a significant number of preserved stecaks, is located in the locality "Sjece", and belongs to the territory of the municipality of Sapna. Over time, several dozen beautifully carved stecaks became overgrown with moss and sank into the ground, while some of them underwent inadequate interventions, which caused them to change their original location. After the detailed recording of the necropolis by the Institute for the Protection and Use of Cultural-Historical and Natural Heritage in 2016, it was established that it needs to be renovated and arranged. The work on cleaning up the necropolis officially began in the fall of 2022, and the process itself is recorded in this paper.
