Summary/Abstract: This article presents preliminary data from the rescue excavations carried out in 2021 in the area of development of the 'Chapel and social cultural center' in Roşiorii de Vede. Although carried out on a relatively small area, the research revealed some new elements regarding the history of the cult ensemble. The existence of a cemetery was confirmed, probably established shortly after the church was built. A pit with demolition materials and household debris was investigated and can be linked to activities related to the repair of the church and the decommissioning of some buildings. Another pit, most likely contemporary with the building of the church, also contained demolition materials and household debris. The finds illustrate the fact that we are in an urban environment and suggest an image of everyday material life, in which common use items, produced by local workshops, are found together with some luxury items, imported from abroad.
