Summary/Abstract: This article refers to a study with the aim of analyzing the translation process of German real names and culture-related content using the example of audiovisual texts from Deutsche Welle and the Federal Agency for Civic Education, which are used in German as a foreign language classes as teaching materials on the topic of German history: 30 years Fall of the Wall have been used to analyze. The real terms, which verbalized certain concepts in divided Germany during the time of the Berlin Wall, are characteristic elements of the German language system with specific formal and semantic properties. This article addresses how the conceptual level of MAUERFALL is represented by these culture-related linguistic units in the German world view. It was possible to determine which structural-semantic features these real names have and how they can be classified in relation to objects, national affiliation, temporal features, origin and structure. The translation methods of the analyzed physical designations are described in detail. The study shows that the most common translation methods of the selected real names are: 1) lexical borrowing + explanatory, commenting translation, 2) loan translation + explanatory, commenting translation, 3) decoding + formation of new acronyms + addition and 4) loan translation.
